Zeochem has long been an important player in the Zeolite adsorbents business. Zeochem molecular sieve adsorbents are well-known for their excellent properties in terms of adsorption capacity and also in terms of kinetics. Zeochem silica gel products belong to the high performance end of the market, and include tailor-made chromatographic gels for the pharmaceutical industry. Zeochem is also becoming ever more well-known and respected for their quality in producing zeolites for the hydrophobic catalyst and adsorbents markets. There are two ranges of products covering these applications, and they are characterised by the ZEOcat and ZEOflair ranges. These special High Silica Zeolites of unusual crystal structure have become an important part of the Zeochem product portfolio. These products are characterised by their hydrophobic nature. They are more acidic than the standard A and X types; and they possess a high active surface area. Add to this good kinetics, and excellent thermal stability; and one can see why these products are highly regarded in a number of catalytic applications. While the ZEOcat range is extensive, it covers the better known ZSM-5 types, Beta, Mordenite and L-type structures. ZEOflair products are designed more for the adsorption of organic odours from gases, from plastic formulations and surfaces.
