With the increase in Coke Drum Inlet Temperature or Coil Outlet Temperature of the Heater, liquid yield in the from of HCGO, LCGO & LLCGO will increase along with the Gas yield. But due to high temperature The severity of coking will increase forming to Hard coke, which is difficult to remove through from the coke drum. Also high temperature will reduce your Heater Run length.
This is applicable only if u keep Recycle Ratio & Pressure of coke drum constant.
Hope u get it..

With the increase Coke Drum Intel Temperature or one uses the term Coil Outlet Temperature (COT) generally, Liquid yield in the form of HCGO, LCGO & LLCGO will increase along with the Gas yield. However the coke formed will have be hard or one can say its HGI will be smaller.
All this happens only if the pressure & Recycle Ration is kept constant. Hope its clear to you..

For a given crude, there is a temperature range over which to operate. Within that range, reducing temperature makes less coke and more liquids, the usual objective. However, the volatility of the coke increases with reducing temperature , and there is a maximum volatility specification to meet. Increasing temperature will reduce coke make but increases coke hardness, and there is a maximum hardness specification to meet. There is usually a narrow temperature range over which to operate due to the coke specifications, and that range varies with the crude.
