As per the literature available for Sulphur recovery processes, either Dry or Wet oxidation processes can be used. Dry oxidation includes Claus, Super claus etc. Wet oxidation includes LOCAT, Sulfolin, Sulferox etc.
Our personal experience lies in Modified Claus process.

Sulphur can be recovered from acid gases by two types of processes. Dry processess based on reaction and wet processes based on oxidation of H2S to elemental sulphur on iron chelates.
In the reaction process one third of H2S is burnt to SO2 in a furnace and made to react with remaining 2/3rd H2S to form elemental Sulphur. The 1/3 , 2/3 proportion is as per the chemistry of the reaction. The reaction produced from the furnace is cooled to condense the sulphur. This way almost 80 % of sulphur is recovered. The reaction is carried out further by passing the gas on Alumina base catalyst reaching overall recoveries of more than 99%.
In the wet process the acid gas is bubbled through a solution containing iron chelates, simultaneously air is injected providing Oxygen for the reaction (temperature is ambient here). The sulphur precipitates in the form of small particles and being insoluble settles and is removed.
First process is suitable for refinery application (large capacities commercial grade sulphur) and hence almost all refineries would have sulphur plant (SRU) with capacities from 10 to 150 TPD.
The wet process is suitable for small capacities and is popular in the Natural Gas industry. The quality of sulphur produced by wet process is inferior in terms of colour and impurities.
The selection of type of process therefore depends on application.
Both are well established processes and can be licensed.

I only know of the Jacobs' Claus, Superclaus and Euroclaus processes for sulphur recovery
