4th REFINING CHINA conference

Over 200 delegates attended this year's Refining China conference, making it the largest yet. The conference, being held in the Regent Hotel, Beijing, opened with presentations from Zhao Jungui, Secretary General of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, and Cao Xianghong, Senior Vice-President of Sinopec.
The conference, organised by Crambeth Allen, publishers of PTQ and Hydrocarbon China, and the Petrochemical Press of Sinopec was also supported by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, Sinopec Engineering Incorporation, CNPC Planning and Engineering Instiute and CNOOC Huizhou refinery.
This year's participants included senior engineers from right across China including the plants at Yanshan, Huizhou, Jiujiang, Shijiazhuang, Qingdao, Ningbo, Anqing, Huizhou, Luoyang, Zhongyuan, Daqing, Wuhan, Jinmen, Jilin, Yangzi, Jinxi, Liaohe, Jinan, Yanchang and Tianjin. International delegates came from Malaysia, Singapore, India, Iran, Azerbaijan, France, the Netherlands, Italy, UK, Sudan, USA, Canada and Australia.
Refining China, wound up with a visit to the Yanshan Beijing Petrochemical Company where we met Mr Liang, the Chief Engineer, and his colleagues has been supported internationally by Dupont, Veolia, Shell Global Solutions, Albemarle, Baker Hughes, Curtiss Wright, Compressor Controls, Soteica, Tracerco and Anu Projects.
